This template provides essential services to {{tlx|sclass}} and {{tlx|sclass2}}.  NOT TO BE USED DIRECTLY IN ARTICLE SPACE.

== Usage ==
<code><nowiki>{{sclass}}</nowiki></code> and <code><nowiki>{{sclass2-}}</nowiki></code> pass all of the parameters received from the article along with a format parameter to <code><nowiki>{{sclass/core}}</nowiki></code>.  The format parameter, simply the name of the calling template, controls how <code><nowiki>{{sclass/core}}</nowiki></code> formats the output.  Output format is described in the appropriate template documentation.

::the unnamed third parameter (format) should not be confused with the named parameter {{para|format}}. The unnamed third parameter controls how the various parts are assembled and linked.  The named {{para|format}} parameter controls italics and hyphenation.

In article space the <code><nowiki>{{sclass}}</nowiki></code> template is written:

<code><nowiki>{{sclass}}</nowiki></code> makes a call to <code><nowiki>{{sclass/core}}</nowiki></code> that more-or-less amounts to this:
